Water has played an important role in shaping the landscape of Falkland Estate. The Mill burn, sometimes called the Roaring or Crackling burn, runs past the front of the Stables, and once powered the weaving looms. The Maspie burn is joined by the Coalpit burn and flows down from the Yad waterfall and past the House of Falkland. Stand on bridges and listen to the sound of rushing water and look out for man-made cascades.
Listen to the waters of the Maspie Burn as it tumbles down through Maspie Den.
